Season 8 has long started since October last year but was in a hiatus since __ and will be back on February 25 for its midseason premiere.

Along with this movement, speculations spread so fast about the possible highlights of remaining episodes of Season 8-- more pain, more deaths, and more losses.

The character of Carl, played by Chandler Riggs, the son of Rick and Lori, was said to be seriously bitten by a walker. And we all know what would happen next after getting bitten.

Back in December 2017, fans of The Walking Dead were collectively shaken when an unexpected character wound up on the chopping block. In the final moments of the eighth season's Winter finale, Carl reveals a fatal zombie bite to Rick and the rest of the gang.

In the time since the fallout has been pretty intense. Naturally, the internet flooded with heartbreak, but even behind the scenes, the show's biggest players have had a hard time coming to terms with the news.

As we lurch toward the Feb. 25 midseason premiere, take a look at all the sorrowful quotes from The Walking Dead's principal cast.

Where do Lauren Cohan fits in this story?

It is known that her contract with the TWD was about to expire upon the closing of Season 8.

The Hollywood Reporter recently included the actress in its report about a number of TV stars keenly looking and to note, getting other offers somewhere else.

The said article further disclosed that

“Cohan and her agents are not happy with the offers that have been on the table from AMC. Although Cohan is not seeking salary parity with male leads Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus, her camp and AMC have been engaged in a months-long negotiation that remains far apart.”

“Insiders suggest that Cohan is actively looking for her next job and not trying to use the pilot casting process to force AMC's hand as the actress' camp remains frustrated by AMC's lowball offers.”

Popsugar.com further stated,

“Fortunately for Cohan, she's in high demand for the 2018 pilot season.”

As this progress, TV viewers cannot help not to wonder, will her character, Maggie Green, be the next one to leave to the zombie series and will no longer have a role in its officially announced 9th season?

If that is possible, how will it going to happen?

With her leadership, Maggie Green’s gained victory after her take over at The Hilltop. Her character’s strength and resilience has a lot of potential to grow more and to influence the other characters.

What will also happen to (Glenn Rhee’s and) her child, which Maggie still carries as of Season 8?

Meanwhile, Scott Gimple, TWD’s new Chief Content Officer, was rather optimistic about this matter.

He recently told TV Line

“I’m incredibly hopeful about” a new deal being struck. “These things do happen in TV, but we’re talking. And Lauren is an actor who has such intuition and such power, so yeah, hopefully, it all works out.”

Season 9 will premiere in late 2018.
