Content Writing: First Dental Lessons
A child is primarily educated about a healthy lifestyle beginning at the early age of one (1) or two (2). These good habits include tooth brushing and his very first dental visits.
A few times though, a child tends to be excited, yet also, unease and anxious about dental check-ups, especially their first ones. This is because he is unacquainted to what is going to happen inside the four-corners of the dental clinic and up-there, while sitting on the “dreaded” dental chair.
Contrastingly, what often makes the difference are the soothing words and reassuring confidence exudes by the person who does not only warm fully welcome a child, but also happens to excel in the utmost healthcare of teeth and in the treatment of any tooth-ache, our lady dentist.
The activities during those first dental appointments simply involve the basic dental procedures such as gathering essential information about the child and doing oral exams. The lady dentist counts on the child-patient’s teeth if whether or not all the baby teeth have already grown out. Or checking if any permanent tooth has been growing properly under the milk teeth.
She also carefully examine each tooth’s condition, one-by-one. Are they still intact and strong? Or there is an onset of a tooth becoming brittle, decayed and disfigured? Do his gums look fine and healthy? She may gently clean his teeth and check on their fluoride level.
She may even demonstrate the proper way to brush teeth. The child’s dental and medical background is also inquired from the parents. She also notes down and evaluates the personal hygiene and eating habits of the child. Does the child fond of eating foods rich in Vitamins C, Iron and Calcium? Or was he already introduced to a diet which, consists mainly of snacking and sugary foods?
It is significant to imply to a child and his parents as well that both healthy nutrition and correct oral habits is the best combination to achieve and to maintain an excellent oral health all thru the child’s lifetime.
Our lady dentist continually aims for this said goal and she believes that it begins from a pleasant and enjoyable experience of a child of his first dental visits.
